#Advanced Conditional Formatting

Conditional Formatting is used to highlight interesting cells, emphasize unusual values and visualize data.

Highlight One Column Value- For example, if we want to highlight the laptop in given that then we will select the first column and after that apply the new rule in conditional formatting.

Select the first column contains the Laptop which we

want to highlight.

Use data validation for a product list.

Define a new rule in conditional formatting here the rule is =B6=$G$6.
Here we use relative reference for column B and row 6 and absolute reference for a column, row G6.

When we select the laptop will be highlighted in the table and if select the camera then the camera will be highlighted in such a table.

Highlight Entire Record-If we want to highlight the entire record when we selected the particular record in a drop-down list.                                                          Select the entire columns

Apply the new rule in conditional formating. Here we use absolute reference for column B and relative reference row 17 and absolute reference for a column, row H17.
